The reasons behind starting Fit With Z were two-fold. I needed an outlet to share my expertise and passion for fitness with others, while at the same time having creative control over how I shared my knowledge. Having worked at numerous fitness centers over the past nine years, I was amazed and frustrated at how many people failed in their fitness pursuits. Time after time I would encounter eager members who would sign up for memberships with the greatest of intentions, only to see them fail every time. I would see these members for the first two weeks, but it was truly a miracle if they stuck with their program for longer than that. These individuals would keep paying their membership dues while never utilizing their memberships, more than likely getting talked into paying for their dues though electronic funds transfer. Trust me, fitness facilities LOVE customers like you, as you are paying them for an unspecified period of time, without ever again having to approve the transaction. If you think hiring a personal trainer is expensive, paying yearly membership dues of $500 to over $1500 a year, and using the facility once or twice, with no results as a consequence, is really expensive. As a matter of fact, 70 percent of you will not be seen again in that great, new gym you signed up for just two weeks after signing up, and statistics from several studies on exercise adherence indicate that approximately 50 percent of individuals who start a self-monitored exercise program will drop out of that program within six months (Dishman, 1991). Another common occurrence would be health club "hopping", trying out all the gyms across town, somehow thinking that changing venues will magically make all the reasons for not going to the original gym in the first place disappear.

Staying fit and healthy is the best gift to give oneself, and through the direction and motivation Fit With Z will provide, you will be set up for success. It can be easy to be confused and overwhelmed with all the different messages about health and fitness coming from the media and TV infomercials. You start to realize it’s not so easy to decipher contradictory information and conclude with confidence which approach is most effective or is the truth, or what piece of equipment will really work for you. There is always new research coming out about fitness, and staying on top of it all would be a full time job, making it an unreasonable choice for most individuals. Fit With Z will stay on top of it all, as it is our full time job to sift though all the research and information, and pick most suitable means of exercise considering your real needs and best interest.

Measurable Results

Fit With Z provides pre and post fitness testing, measuring such indicators as body fat, flexibility, cardiovascular strength, circumference, blood pressure and much more to best track progress and effectiveness of your program. Another great measure, and we feel most important one, will be how you feel about yourself and how your outlook on life changes as you see yourself succeed. All fitness tests are optional and will only be preformed if you would like them to. By tracking your progress, we will be better equipped to measure progress towards your goals, not to mention a great motivator!

If you want to achieve success in your fitness program, it will have to become a part of your lifestyle, period! We will make sure that you will become more active and nutritionally aware, and will educate you on maintaining healthy lifestyle for the rest of your life! We will become your strongest advocate and partner when it comes to well-being

Nutrition

While our trainers have great background in food and science nutrition, they are not to be mistaken for a registered nutritionist. We will work together with a registered nutritionist to best address your individual needs. If we deem necessary we will work closely together to address your needs in the best manner possible. You have to eat smart and be knowledgeable about nutrition to achieve well-being.
